The New Pediatric Unit of Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital offers a broad range of services for infants to teens 16 years of age. The dedicated six-bed unit is specially designed for children and their families, and conveniently located on the second floor.

Our pediatric dedicated team includes
registered nurses and licensed practical nurses that are certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and/or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

Listed below are some of the special features:

Treatment room for procedures that are hurtful, so the children’s private rooms remain a safe and pleasant place
Family-friendly rooms with a rocker glider, pull-out sofa and shower
Complimentary meals for the parent or family member who is staying with the child
Play therapy cart for children who feel well enough to play games

Special needs support is also available on an inpatient and outpatient basis and includes pediatric rehabilitation, speech therapy and aquatic therapy.
