Over 400 Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital Foundation and Friends of the Cancer Center supporters recently attended “Light the Way” Golf
Tournament & Chefs’ Showcase and
Gala.
The weekend events raised $111,000 and will help fund a state-of-the-art advanced cardiac monitoring system for the Critical Care Unit, enhance the lives of our cancer patients and various programs supported by the Foundation.
The Weekend Benefit, chaired by Paula Pope and Robbie Tart, included a golf tournament on Friday afternoon and a Chefs’ Showcase and Gala on Saturday evening.
The Golf Tournament, organized by Bill Lasater, was held in Erwin at Chicora.
The Hayes, Williams, Turner & Daughtry team of Larry Daughtry, Brandon White, Wes Pierce and Carson White captured the title of first place. Second place was awarded to the team of Norman McLean, Nick Skatell, Al Gower and Fred Rambeau. The team of John Godwin, Brian Wise, Courtney Faircloth and Bobby Womble received third place. Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital Culinary Creations provided lunch, and Broad Street Deli sponsored the awards ceremony and social.
The Chefs’ Showcase and Gala, held at The Shrine Center, located downtown Dunn was a festive evening of socializing, putting contest on a golf green, live music compliments of Mike Ennis and Friends, silent and live auctions provided by
Johnson Properties Realtors and Auctioneers, Inc. and a Chefs’ Showcase compliments of DeBorah’s, Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital’s Culinary Creations, Creative Cakes by Rene’, Elegant Party Rentals and Catering and Alphin Brothers.
